“THE STOCKERS GAME" (1st National Investment Competition 2016)

UIU Finance Forum, a wing of the UIU Career Counseling Center (CCC) is delighted to organize “THE STOCKERS GAME"- 1st National Investment Competition.

The Stockers Game is a First National Stock market based competition aimed to produce young real time investment analyst. The increasing demand for a real-time investment analyst in an economy dominating by financial organization lead the necessity to identify nationally the next investment analyst.

With appropriate training from the basics to the professional stage the next young analyst will come through some steps of assessment of investment problems. The program is also designed to comply with non-finance major students who are aiming to be the future stock market leader.

Participating in this competition will provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to showcase or develop his/her skills about the stock market analysis, investment & capital market.

REGISTRATION:

Reg Fee: 1000 BDT (Students have to register with a Team. Each team will consist of 2 paticipants).

(Only undergraduate students can participate in the competition and eligible participants must form teams consisting of two members)

Reg Deadline: 05/10/2016.
Reg Form: Room no 107 ( CCC office, UIU campus 01)
Reg Booth: 17 November to 05 December 2016 at UIU, Campus 01.

A two-day training will take place before the competition. All the training materials will be provided during the training.

ROUNDS:

The competition consists of three rounds. Information regarding every round will be provided in the training sessions.

Round 1: (October 10, 2016) - An online quiz competition will take place in the first round. The participants will be given 50 questions (basic finance and stock) to answer. Top 30 teams will be considered eligible for the second round.

Round 2: (October 14, 2016) - A case competition will take place in the second round. The participants will be given a Case regarding financial statement analysis & decision making. Top 15 teams will be considered eligible for the Final round out of 30.

Final Round: (October 16,2016) - Participants have to make a portfolio based on current stock market scenario. They will have to submit the copy of portfolio of stocks. They will also have to give a Presentation justifying their portfolio decisions taken by them in front of the JUDGES. Finally the honorable judges will select the top scorers on 20th October,2016.

The honor of 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be earned by top 30 teams.

4. Please bring the participants CODE receipt at every level of the program.
5. Please bring your university ID Card for confirmation.
6. Only undergraduate students are allowed to participate in this competition.
7. Participants are not allowed to bring an unwanted guest or illegal materials.
8. Any unfair attempt or misbehavior or breach of terms and conditions will be the reason for disqualification.
9. Any damage of UIU properties are not excepted.
10. UlUFF authority is NOT liable for losing any electrical or other valuable products.
11. Do not throw any container or food wastage at campus except dust -bin.
12. In any circumstances UlUFF reserves the right to take any decision.
13. Registration fee is non-refundable.
