FOCUS 17- A National Finance Competition

UIU Finance Forum has been consistently organizing quality TRAINING and COMPETITION programs since its inception. Hope you all still remember THE EXELIST and THE STOCKERS GAME. With your endeavor cooperation and support, they were very successful training programs. You are the witness.

With that consistency, this time UIU Finance Forum is going to organize another inter-university TRAINING and COMPETITION program which is
FOCUS 17.

FOCUS 17 has been designed with the collaboration of high profile corporate personnel who are actually known as FINANCE BUFF in Bangladesh. The training module includes sufficient coverage of FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE which is required to work in a financial institution. The training has been designed with a view to providing the trainees the taste of real corporate sophistication in the arena of FINANCE.

What does FOCUS 17 include?

1. Two days of training with high-profile corporate trainer which will include a knowledge sharing on FINANCE, How to analyze corporate Financial Statements and How to take Investment decisions.
2. A competition consisting of Quiz, Financial Statement Analysis & Manipulation, and Financial case solution & Presentation.
3. A total prize money of BDT 60,000 for the winners.
4. FOOD (Snacks & Lunch)

TRAINING:
------------------
A two-day training will take place before the competition. All the training materials will be provided during the training.

Training Date - 19th & 20th May, 2017 (Friday & Saturday)

Training Time -
-Slot 1- 10:00am to 01:00pm
-Slot 2- 2:00pm to 05:00 pm

1st Runner UP: 20,000 BDT + Crest + Certificate
2nd runner UP: 10,000 BDT + Crest + Certificate

COMPETITION:
--------------------------

• Round 1 (May 21st, 2017)

A quiz competition will take place in the first round. The participants will be given 40 questions (basic business and basic finance) to answer. Top 60 participant will be considered eligible for the second round.

• Round 2 (May 21st, 2017)

60 participants will be given to questions to find the manipulation of financial data & Make financial statement analysis. From this round, 15 participants will be selected for final round.

• Final Round (May 23rd, 2017) -

In this round participants will make a presentation to presenting their own findings of the given financial case in front of the judges. The case will be on capital budgeting.

3. Please bring the participant CODE receipt at every level of the program.
3. Please bring your university ID card during the time of training & Competition.
4. Only undergraduate students are allowed in this competition.
5. Participants are not allowed to bring any unwanted guest or illegal materials.
6. Any unfair attempt or miss behavior will be the reason for disqualification.
7. Any damage to UIU properties will not be tolerated.
8. UIUFF authority is NOT liable for losing any electrical or other valuable products.
9. Do not throw any container or food wastage at campus except dust-bin.
10. UIUFF reserves the right to taking any decision regarding the competition.
